Welcome to barbaraduncanpaintings.com. Barbara`s unique style embraces the vitality that acrylics can bring to a painting.  She concentrates on bright vibrant flashes of colour to show light and shade and captures tone and depth in her work. Barbara has lived in the east side of scotland all her life and has grown up living in an ever changing but beautiful agricultural landscape. Her inspiration comes from the love of the outdoors, hill walking and climbing in the Highlands of Scotland. The evocative mountains encapture her and bring the sense of knowing the mountain out in her work.

Barbara began painting in 2009 as a hobby with a limited background in art. She picked up a paint brush and canvas and started playing about with acrylics. Her love for painting grew, she was enouraged by her boyfriend and friends and family to share her work and to continue developing her style.
